South Shore Community Center Nursery School Registration
Thank you, for your interest in our school. We will begin to accept lottery applications in January of 2008. Applications may be dropped off at the Nursery School or in the Community Center Office. A registration fee of $100.00 must be included with your completed form to be eligible for the Nursery School Lottery. If your child is not placed in our school at that time your registration fee will be returned.
The lottery system is broken into four parts. Once all applications have been received they are separated into four groups. In house children are placed first, next siblings, then members of the Community Center and last the pubic at large are placed. All applicants who are not placed in the Nursery School are then placed on a waitlist. The waitlist is determined by lottery. Movement on the waitlist will be updated as soon as placements become available. If you do not wish to be placed on the Nursery School waitlist please let the Director know as soon as possible.
Lottery Applications must be received by January 25th 2008.
Notification of enrollment will be mailed by February 9th, 2008.
Choosing a pre-school for your child can be stressful. We love to take advantage of our observation windows so call me to arrange a tour. Please feel free to call or e-mail me at anytime and I will be happy to answer your questions. I look forward to seeing you soon.

About our Program
South Shore Community Center Nursery School offers three levels of programs to meet the needs of children age’s three to five. The morning program runs from 9 to 11:30am and the afternoon program is from 12:30 to 3pm. Lunch Bunch is offered as an extended day program as well as various Community Center programs. Our youngest program, The Nursery Program is for children who will be three years old by November 1st. The Pre Kindergarten Program is for children who will be four by November 1st. We also offer a very special Enrichment Program for those children who are older fours and fives whom are looking for a challenging year before they enter Kindergarten.
The Nursery School program’s goal is to provide a happy, safe environment where children will develop trust and have a positive “school” experience. The children will have the opportunity to recognize their own talents and abilities and they will be encouraged to approach new experiences with a spirit of enthusiasm and self-confidence. We follow the Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences created by the Early Childhood Advisory Council to the Massachusetts Board of Education. It is based on the standards set up for the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Our Nursery School has observation mirrors in each classroom so please feel free to stop in any time to see all of the wonderful things that occur in our program.
