The SSCC Nursery School offers three levels of programs to meet the needs of children age's three to five. The morning programs run from 9 to 11:30 AM. The afternoon programs run from 12:30 to 3 PM. There are many extended day options for children enrolled in our school including LUNCH BUNCH, COMPUTERS & LUNCH, ART & MOVEMENT, BALLET, GYMNASTICS & SPORTS. Our youngest program, The Nursery Program is for children who will be three years old by November 1st. The Pre-Kindergarten Program is for children who will be four by November 1st. We also offer a very special Enrichment Program for those children who have already had two years of school. This program is designed for older fours and fives whom are looking for a challenging year before they enter Kindergarten.
The Nursery School Program’s goal is to provide a happy, safe environment where children will develop trust and have a positive “school” experience. The children will have the opportunity to recognize their own talents and abilities and they will be encouraged to approach new experiences with a spirit of enthusiasm and self-confidence.
We follow the Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences created by the Early Childhood Advisory Council to the Massachusetts Board of Education. It is based on the standards set up for the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Our Nursery School has observation mirrors in each classroom so please feel
free to stop in any time to see all of the wonderful things that occur in our program. If you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment to meet the director, please call Ann Madden at 781-383-0036.
